The Mercedes W124 was introduced in 1985. Heavily based on the previous W123 model, the W124 was lighter and more agile and was a much more modern car overall.
It incorporated many of the safety features pioneered in the S Class saloon, such as driver and passenger airbags, the range included an estate, a four door
saloon, a 2 door coupe and an elegant Convertible.
The Mercedes W124 was the last of the "engineered at any cost" Mercedes and was a very expensive car to build and was designed to have a long product cycle of over 10 years. The W124 model range is complex and varies by year, but all had the same standard equipment and options. Today, the W124 is still a very common sight on our roads due to it's engineering integrity and quality. Values remain high, especially for Cabriolet versions.
